Conversion of an old cowshed into a bespoke timber framed family home. AMA provided cost advice, tender documentation and tender analysis for the client. The project incorporated the recycling of materials including reuse of foundations and masonry. The house benefits from super air tightness and insulation levels incorporating MVHR plus a ground source heat pump.
AMA provided a cost plan to the client for the new build, award winning Bavent House, located close to Southwold. The house, situated in open countryside, has a difficult orientation which placed great demands on the design and arrangement of space.

We provided the full service from early stage cost planning to the agreement of the final account. This project created particular challenges with the contractor going into administration during the project. We guided the client and the architect through the process of the termination of the previous contractor’s employment and the procurement and appointment of a replacement contractor.

Award winning Barn Conversion.
A lovely job to work on. The high quality of design and level of craftsmanship created a superb contemporary barn conversion. AMA carried out a cost check in a negotiated tender and expertly managed costs on-site.
New build replacement dwelling and 2010 winner of Graham Allen Award for Conservation and Design. Although the design is very much of its time, it is still rooted in the area with its curved flint walls and stone dressings taking inspiration from local churches.
